Instant Spanish Language Traffic Reporting Now on Mobile for South Florida

West Palm Beach, FL and Washington, DC, March 21, 2012 — AudioNow announced today an industry-first partnership with Capitol Radio Traffic that will bring Spanish-speaking drivers in the Palm Beach, Broward and the Treasure Coast areas of Florida a new, INSTANT medium to get the local traffic reporting information they need – at the exact time they need it–without distraction.

The new service (currently in Beta and in Spanish) utilizes AudioNow’s proprietary “call-to-listen” technology that allows drivers to obtain up-to-date traffic information without waiting for traffic reports on the air or fumbling with an app or a website while driving. Drivers in the targeted area can program their phones and call (832) 551-5070 and get up to the minute traffic reports in Spanish.

Traffic reports are updated constantly throughout the morning and evening rush hours. Drivers can dial in as often as they like, it only takes a second and it’s free (regular carrier charges apply).

Capitol Radio spokesman and talk show host Nelson Cruz said of the new service: “Everybody knows that traffic in South Florida can be a tough issue; I’ve got a busy schedule myself and sometimes it gets kicked to the curb by traffic issues and delays. This service, which is unique to the region, will let anyone get the traffic information they need with the simplest of technology: their cell phone. No apps or internet needed, just your phone. We look forward to expanding this pilot to reach the English-speaking audience as well.”

Audio Now’s Chief Technology Officer Marcel Barbulescu said: “this partnership illustrates the versatility and accessibility of our technology. The AudioNow platform can help specialized content creators reach a much wider audience with minimal resources and virtually no set-up cost to them.”
