WTOP Expands Distribution

New Partnership Allows Listening on Any Mobile Phone

WTOP Radio 103.5 FM today announced a partnership with AudioNowTM that allows listeners to access the station’s programming live and for free by dialing (202) 380-9977 on any phone.

“WTOP is committed to providing the information people need when they need it, wherever they are,” says Vice President of Programming Jim Farley. “In today’s mobile society, we need to move with our audience and this technology gives our listeners yet another way to get the vital news, traffic and weather information that they rely on WTOP for.”

“Listening to radio should be as simple as pressing a single speed dial button,” said Elan Blutinger, a Managing Director of AudioNow. “WTOP’s rich content is an institution in the Washington, DC metro market and it will now be available to every mobile phone listener without downloads or the need to access data services.”

The system is currently up and running and accessible everywhere. Standard rates do apply. AudioNowTM is the leading provider of mobile phone broadcast radio distribution in the country. It uses proprietary, patent-pending technology that allows any fixed or mobile phone to access live audio programming without any downloads across all mobile platforms.
