Elan Blutinger

Chairman & CEO

Elan has been a Managing Director of Alpine Consolidated, LLC since 1996 and led the successful launch, IPO, and sale of multiple public travel companies in the US and the UK: Travel Services International (NASDAQ:TRVL) and ResortQuest International (NYSE:RZT) as well as Online Travel PLC (UK). He subsequently was a Director at Hotels.com and chaired the Special Committee that sold the company to IAC/ InterActiveCorp. He is currently a Director of Great Wolf Resorts (NASDAQ:WOLF) and Mountain Reservations. Elan speaks five languages, and earned his graduate and law degrees at the University of California at Berkeley and the American University in Washington, DC. Marcel Barbulescu

President & Chief Operating Officer

Marcel pioneered the AudioNow voice and data platform from the ground up, relying on his over twenty years of experience in Computer Science and Telecommunications. He brings an extensive background in leading teams that specialize in delivering end-to-end technology solutions to ares like content management and distribution, fintech, analytics and security. His holistic approach to managing growth has allowed the company to rapidly enter new markets through the optimization of existing resources for greater shareholder returns. Marcel was the President and founder of Ziggoo Technologies, a company specializing in customized telecom solutions. George Cernat

Chief Marketing Officer

Prior to joining AudioNow, George Cernat oversaw Marketing and Business Development at one of the fastest-growing US-based international start-ups in the travel industry. The company saw a ten-fold increase in revenue during his tenure. George holds an MBA from Georgetown University and is a graduate in Economics and International Relations from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY. Alexandra Moe

Director of Strategic Partnerships

Alexandra (Alex) Moe leads strategy and development of new ventures bridging media and technology for AudioNow's global broadcast partners. She has led the company's business development efforts in building innovative global banking and other essential services that bridge the needs of diaspora communities and the media sources that power their communities. Previously, she directed the Washington, D.C. office of New America Media (NAM), the country’s largest non-profit organization of ethnic news organizations. At NAM over ten years, she managed the expansion of NAM’s national initiatives by connecting hundreds of ethnic media outlets to policymakers through summits on economic and social issues. Alex has spoken on the role of ethnic media at forums and media trainings sponsored by the U.S. Department of State throughout Europe. For several years she led writing workshops for incarcerated youth in Washington and California. A graduate of Williams College and Circle In the Square Theatre School in New York, her essays have appeared in The Washington Post, and other publications. Eugen Leontie, PhD

Chief Technology Officer

Eugen is responsible for managing the AudioNow Operation Centers in multiple locations worldwide, coordinating computing assets, the software ecosystem, and spearheading research efforts. His expertise and talent cover the gamut, from processor- design to enterprise software solutions. Eugen earned his PhD degree at The George Washington University, where his research focused on Security and Trusted Computing, rethinking the interaction between memory access, processor protection and untrusted software components. Rebecca Walker

Director of Digital Partnerships

Rebecca Walker is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to expand AudioNow’s listener base through initiatives with broadcasting partners and cooperative marketing campaigns across all media. Prior to joining AudioNow, Rebecca developed extensive social media and journalistic skills in a variety of international organizations ranging from the U.S. Department of State to USA Today. A Spanish and French speaker, Rebecca holds an MA in International Communication from American University in Washington and a BA in International Affairs and English from the University of Richmond. Natalie White

Director of New Business Development / The Americas

Natalie joined AudioNow to analyze listener populations and identify new markets. She now leads AudioNow Reasearch, developing and managing in-language survey campaigns for AudioNow partners and clients. Natalie developed her research and investigative skills while completing her MA in Human Geography at the University of Washington. Through her thesis work on labor migration, she designed and carried out fieldwork in Guatemala and has been active in organizations serving immigrant populations in the U.S. Natalie served two years in the Peace Corps, and received a BA in International Studies from Willamette University. Guilherme Annunciacao

Guilherme (Gui) Annunciacao manages AudioNow's existing and potential partnerships with broadcasters in Asia and in Brazil. Prior to joining AudioNow, Guilherme organized Brazilian and Spanish-speaking communities for immigration reform; taught English in China while earning a Mandarin certification, and most recently, researched emerging democracies for a major report at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. Guilherme holds a BA from the University of Richmond where he studied World Politics, Anthropology and Chinese. Radu Robotin, PhD

Director of Research & Development

Software engineer with substantive experience in the industry forged in both academic and industrial environments, Radu holds a PhD in Robotics from Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania. Before beginning his tenure with AudioNow, Radu worked as a post doctoral fellow at the Robotics and Mechatronics Lab at George Washington University spearheading the software development efforts for a DARPA founded project. Ms. Wan is responsible for the analysis and research of business information and metrics at AudioNow, and for providing insight on trends, performance and value that benefit the company’s broadcasting partners. Yao's experience in statistical programming in the U.S. and China, and as a certified research analyst, allows the AudioNow team and its partners to better focus their business strategies, optimize operational processes and use available resources to expand their mobile distribution.

Born in Beijing, Yao graduated from George Washington University with an MS in statistics, and from Capital University of Economics and Business, in China.

Dereje Desta

Manager of Business, Africa

Dereje Desta is the Manager of Business, Africa, for AudioNow. Dereje was the founder and Publisher of Zethiopia, a Washington, D.C. based, bilingual (Amharic and English) newspaper where he currently serves as editor-at-large. He is a veteran journalist who has served as a television and radio host & producer, and editor for more than 20 years in the U.S. and Ethiopia. He reported and contributed to NPR's "Latitude" show, and won an award for international affairs reporting from New America Media and the American University. Dereje graduated from Addis Ababa University, in 1991, with a Bachelor's Degree in Ethiopian Languages & Literature. He has shared his experience in journalism at public forums in Washington for congressional staffers at the U.S. Capitol, the George Washington University, the American University, the U.S. Library of Congress, and National Public Radio. Tom Isaacson

Legal and Intellectual Property, Director

Tom Isaacson served as in-house counsel to AT&T Corp and in the Washington D.C. office of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, LLP (Now Pillsbury Withrop, LLP). He practices strategic patent prosecution and represents clients on patent prosecution, trademark, licensing, and litigation matters. His areas of expertise include CDMA and MPEG standards-based patent analysis, DVD technologies, High Performance Computing (Cloud Computing), wireless technologies and devices and the mechanical arts. Tom managed the prosecution of the patent portfolio for AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. Much of his experience has centered on wireless devices including GPS and location-based technologies. He has negotiated and asserted IP rights in Finland, France, Germany, Taiwan, and South Korea and he has managed the development of patents protecting features of Apple's AppStore, iTunes, iPhone, and Fairplay DRM technology.
