Appointment of Spanish-Language Media Executive Strengthens Advisory Team’s Expansion

AudioNow ® Holdings, the leading mobile distribution platform for in-language media, today announces that Rolo Duartes, former Executive Vice President of Sales for Univision Communications affiliate properties, has joined its Advisory Board. The appointment of Spanish-language media veteran Duartes further strengthens AudioNow’s distinguished Advisory Board, which includes well known leaders in global media, academia, audience research, corporate finance, operations, digital content, and media strategy.
With more than 15 years in Spanish-language media, Rolo brings a wealth of business experience to AudioNow ®. He has a strong track record of driving strategies that lead to market leadership in the industry. Rolo has played important roles in some of the most successful US-based Spanish-language media companies.
Univision Communications is the nation’s largest Spanish-language broadcaster. Mr. Duartes was responsible for directing sales across stations combining television, radio, and digital platforms accounting for more than $200 million in annual revenue. Prior to leading sales, Mr. Duartes was regional Vice President/General Manager of Univision Television Group and responsible for stations in nine markets.
He also has experience as an investment banker focused on M&A transactions at Bear Stearns. He started his career as a project engineer for Siemens Electric where he led power generation and infrastructure projects on six continents. Mr. Duartes has served in the United States Air Force and holds degrees from Harvard University (MPA), Columbia University (MBA), and University of Florida (BSEE).
