Daar Communications and AudioNow® Announce Partnership to Grow Mobile Audience

New Mobile Apps will supplement Call-to-Listen Service to reach users on any mobile phone

June 6th, 2016 – Washington, D.C. Daar Communications, a leading media conglomerate in Nigeria, announced today a new radio app for RayPower FM, its leading brand, in partnership with AudioNow, the largest mobile platform for in-language broadcasters globally.

The new Android (and soon, iOS) app will allow Nigerians everywhere in the world to listen to their favorite programming on any smartphone. A menu of archived popular programs will be available on-demand, an important feature for diaspora viewers in various time zones. App users will also be able to send messages, photos, videos and audios to RayPower’s studio at the push of a button, as well as receive announcements and breaking news updates from RayPower FM.

RayPower and AudioNow® have partnered earlier this year on the Call-to-Listen service which allows anyone in the U.S. and U.K. to hear RayPower programming live on any type of mobile phone by simply calling a regular telephone number:

In the US : 641.552.5828
In the UK : 0330.606.9850

“AudioNow® is committed to helping broadcasters around the globe reach a wider mobile audience across any device,” said George Cernat, AudioNow®’s Chief Marketing Officer. “RayPower FM’s new app will enable listeners in Nigeria and abroad to feel even more connected to the content they love.”

“Working with AudioNow® allows us to further expand RayPower FM’s and Daar Group’s mobile audience, and we’re particularly excited by the interactive experience we can now provide our listeners,” said Kenny Ogungbe Managing Director Radio Services Daar Group. “We look forward to adding Faaji FM and AIT to the digital platform provided by AudioNow®.”
