Christian Satellite Network Now Available on any U.S. Phone

June 14, 2013: In a first for Christian radio listeners, AudioNow and the Christian Satellite Network announced today a mobile partnership enabling CSN’s radio programs to be heard on any phone in the U.S. By dialing 712.432.6878, audiences will be directly connected to CSN International’s live radio stream.

CSN International, one of the largest religious broadcasters in the U.S., owns and operates over 400 stations across the U.S, with programming including: Solid Bible Teaching, Modern Praise and Worship, call-in shows, and live church services. The Christian Satellite Network (CSN), a non-profit Christian radio ministry, was founded in 1995 in Idaho now airs in Alabama, California, South Carolina, and over forty other states.

AudioNow is the largest call-to-listen tech platform in North America, connecting global broadcasters such as BBC and RFI, as well as religious-based programs around the world, to mobile phones in the U.S. The phone number incurs no extra charges and is the equivalent of making a mobile call, without the requirement of internet or smart-phones. As data costs continue to rise on mobile devices and “unlimited voice plans” plummet, radio-by-voice stream is emerging as one of the most affordable pathways in the United States for listeners to use when they’re away from their favorite station.

“We’ve found a great desire for religious programs, in particular, at a time when more and more people want quality radio programming on-the-go,” said Rebecca Walker, AudioNow’s Manager of Listener Engagement. “Now, with CSN International, our goal is to provide universal mobile coverage –in essence, for anyone to hear their favorite shows from any phone, when away from the computer, or out of range from terrestrial coverage. Pairing engaging content with powerful technology is what we strive to do.”

CSN International features twenty hours of daily content Monday-Friday, with additional programming on weekends. An in-house production, To Every Man An Answer, is a live question-and-answer program led by Pastor Steve Matheson. Beginning at 6:05 pm ET, listeners across the country call in to have their questions about Christianity and the Bible answered.

Other popular programs include River Christian Fellowship with Pastor Bryan Bacon or Bryan Slusher for their Sunday Morning Sermons at 12:00pm EST. And Pastor Skip Heitzig’s program from Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, broadcast live on Saturdays at 9:00PM EST.

“CSN is delighted at the opportunity of partnering with Audio Now,” said President of the Christian Satellite Network, Pastor Mike Kestler. “It provides enlarged audience access to God’s Word.”
