AudioNow Expands Distribution of Pre-Recorded Audio Content to Any Mobile Device

AudioNow Launches AudioCast for Pre-Recorded News Content

Washington, DC July 21 2010 AudioNow today announced the successful launch of its AudioCast service that allows listeners to access pre-recorded audio content on any phone 24 x 7. The service was developed and launched with Feature Story News (FSN), one of the leading independent sources of broadcast news for networks worldwide providing ready-to-air television and radio news material, tailored to individual broadcasters and markets. Mobile phone listeners can hear FSN world news updates by calling (202) 478-9785. FSN brings on-the-scene news reports to millions of radio listeners around the world.

“Audio Now’s ability to deliver streamed recordings of FSN World News to mobile users across the country (and even around the world) opens up a vast new audience for our service that we previously weren’t able to reach”, said Simon Marks, CEO of FSN. “Sure, FSN World News has always been available to computer users as an .mp3 file….but that requires consumers to be online, or – if they’re mobile – to have access to a robust 3G connection. With Audio Now, the barriers to access come tumbling down. Anyone with any kind of telephone, be it a landline or a mobile, can access the latest headlines 24 hours a day in a convenient, easy-to-use way simply by calling 202 478-9785 on any device. We’re absolutely thrilled that Audio Now developed the technology necessary to bring pre-recorded audio streams to their users, in addition to the terrific work they accomplish distributing live streams”.

“The service was developed in response to the growing demand by mobile listeners for instant access to regularly updated prerecorded audio programming of sports, news, radio and online news content without having to download audio files”, said Marcel Barbulescu, AudioNow’s Chief Technology Officer.” Our broadcast radio partners can now expand distribution of their pre recorded audio content including Podcasts to any mobile phone, simply, and at virtually no cost”.

Acclaimed Jazz Broadcaster “Wavjazz.net “Expands Jazz Distribution to any Mobile Phone

July 22, 2010

Severna Park, Maryland — Wavjazz.net, recently featured in the 2010 Issue of “Jaziz Magazine”, has teamed up with AudioNow to give listeners access to the station’s programming on any mobile phone simply by calling 443.261.3113 from any mobile phone.

“We are excited to share this news with our listeners, who have been waiting for this new way of listening to their favorite jazz station based in the Washington, DC metro area,” said Chris Acton, President of Wavjazz.net . “As a leading broadcaster in our market we need to reach the majority of the market that rely on standard mobile phones.
