Elan Blutinger (Managing Director)
Elan has been a Managing Director of Alpine Consolidated, LLC since 1996 and led the successful launch, IPO, and sale of multiple public travel companies in the US and the UK: Travel Services International (NASDAQ:TRVL) and ResortQuest International (NYSE:RZT) as well as Online Travel PLC (UK). He subsequently was a Director at Hotels.com and chaired the Special Committee that sold the company to IAC/ InterActiveCorp. He is currently a Director of Great Wolf Resorts (NASDAQ:WOLF) and Mountain Reservations. Marcel Barbulescu (Chief Operating Officer/Chief Technology Officer, Director)
Marcel conceived, designed and implemented the AudioNow platform, combining over twenty years of experience in Computer Science and Telecommunications. Marcel was the president and founder of Ziggoo Technologies, a telecommunication company specializing in customized solutions. Eugen Leontie, PhD (Computer and Research Development Scientist)
Eugen is responsible for managing the AudioNow Operation Centers in multiple locations worldwide, coordinating computing assets, the software ecosystem, and spearheading research efforts. His expertise and talent cover the gamut, from processor- design to enterprise software solutions. Eugen earned his PhD degree at The George Washington University, where his research focused on Security and Trusted Computing, rethinking the interaction between memory access, processor protection and untrusted software components. George Cernat (Chief Marketing Officer)
George Cernat is in charge of digital marketing and sales. Prior to joining AudioNow, George Cernat oversaw Marketing and Business Development at one of the fastest-growing US-based international start-ups in the travel industry. The company saw a ten-fold increase in revenue during his tenure. George holds an MBA from Georgetown University and is a graduate in Economics and International Relations from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY. Alexandra Moe (Director of Community Engagement)
Alexandra (Alex) Moe comes to AudioNow after a decade at New America Media (NAM), the country’s largest collaboration of ethnic news organizations. At NAM, she directed the Washington office, and managed the expansion of NAM’s national initiatives by connecting hundreds of ethnic media outlets to policymakers through summits on economic and social issues. Alex has spoken internationally on the role of ethnic media in the U.S. at forums and media trainings sponsored by the U.S. Department of State throughout Europe. For several years she led writing workshops for incarcerated youth in Washington and California. Rebecca Walker (Manager of Audience Engagement)
Rebecca Walker is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to expand AudioNow’s listener base through initiatives with broadcasting partners and cooperative marketing campaigns across all media. Prior to joining AudioNow, Rebecca developed extensive social media and journalistic skills in a variety of international organizations ranging from the US Department of State to USA Today. A Spanish and French speaker, Rebecca holds an MA in International Communication from American University in Washington and a BA in International Affairs and English from the University of Richmond. Natalie White (Manager of Market Research)
Natalie joined the AudioNow team to focus on new market research and to analyze listener populations. Natalie developed her research and investigative skills while completing her M.A. in Human Geography at the University of Washington. Through her thesis work on immigration, she designed and carried out fieldwork in Central America, and was active in organizations serving immigrant populations in the US. Natalie has been a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala and has a B.A. in International Studies from Willamette University in Oregon. Guilherme Annunciacao (Manager of Broadcast Accounts)
Guilherme (Gui) Annunciacao manages AudioNow's existing and potential partnerships with broadcasters in Asia and in Brazil. Prior to joining AudioNow, Guilherme organized Brazilian and Spanish-speaking communities for immigration reform; taught English in China while earning a Mandarin certification, and most recently, researched emerging democracies for a major report at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. Guilherme holds a BA from the University of Richmond where he studied World Politics, Anthropology and Chinese. Tom Isaacson (Legal and Intellectual Property, Director)
Tom Isaacson served as in-house counsel to AT&T Corp and in the Washington D.C. office of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, LLP (Now Pillsbury Withrop, LLP). He practices strategic patent prosecution and represents clients on patent prosecution, trademark, licensing, and litigation matters. His areas of expertise include CDMA and MPEG standards-based patent analysis, DVD technologies, High Performance Computing (Cloud Computing), wireless technologies and devices and the mechanical arts. Tom managed the prosecution of the patent portfolio for AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. Much of his experience has centered on wireless devices including GPS and location-based technologies. He has negotiated and asserted IP rights in Finland, France, Germany, Taiwan, and South Korea and he has managed the development of patents protecting features of Apple's AppStore, iTunes, iPhone, and Fairplay DRM technology.
